The Pharmacology course aims to help qualified individuals to be able to take the NCLX-PN exam. The program is designed having flexible class schedules so that students can accommodate the needs of their jobs while preparing to become LVN

The requirements in order to obtain an Authorization to Test (ATT) for the NCLEX-PN using the Equivalent Education and/or Experience method are the following:

1. Proof of completion of Pharmacology Course (54 theory hours)
2. Completion within the 10 years prior to the date of application of not less than 51 months of paid general duty inpatient bedside nursing experience in a clinical facility, at least half of which shall have been within five years prior to the date of application. Paid general duty inpatient bedside nursing experience is the performance of direct patient care functions provided throughout the patient’s stay that encompass the breadth and depth of experience equivalent to that performed by the licensed vocational nurse.
(A) Such experience shall be verified by the employer showing specific dates of employment.
(B) The 51 months experience prescribed above shall include a minimum of each of the following:
i. 48 months of Medical/Surgical
ii. 5 weeks of Maternity/ Genito-urinary
iii. 5 weeks of Pediatric nursing

• Nursing education in the US or in another country may be given credit in lieu of the experience. The school of nursing of the student must mail the transcripts and fill out the record of nursing program in the vocational nursing licensure application form of the BVNPT

I fully understand that only the BVNPT upon receiving the verification from my employers can evaluate my specific dates of employment and nursing skills and give the corresponding equivalent credit for my experience. I understand that only the BVNPT can evaluate my transcripts, upon receiving the original copy directly from my school of nursing, and give the equivalent credit for my education.

I fully understand that I must satisfy all requirements stated above in order to become eligible to take the state board exams for LVN NCLEX-PN using the equivalent education and/or experience method. The requirement #2 – 51 months of experience must come from me. It is also my responsibility to make sure that my employer receive, fill up and mail back the verification of employment and certification of skills form.

Furthermore, I understand that my experience should have been accumulated within 10 years prior to the date of application, at least half of which shall have been within 5 years.

The basic requirements given above are clear. If you think you are qualified, we invite you to be a part of our pharmacology course for vocational nurses. Those who do not yet meet the required number of years of experience but still would like to start with the course and get the non-expiring certificate, which is one of the requirements of the BVNPT under method 3, they are most welcome.
